How to Remove DRM from Spotify Premium Music

If you are a big music lover, then you cannot miss Spotify. This music streaming service allows you to enjoy millions of songs from the old favorites to the latest music online. If you are Spotify Premium subscriber, you can download Spotify music for offline use. However, Spotify's DRM restrictions may prevent you from sharing or transferring a copy of the songs downloaded even you have already been a subscriber. So how to remove DRM from Spotify music and make it playable offline?

Spotify uses Ogg Vorbis as their streaming format. While the songs can be "downloaded" (stored offline) on a Premium subscription, you have no actual physical access to the file and cannot move it to another application to play it there. In this situation, you can remove DRM from Spotify and convert Spotify Ogg to MP3.

How to Break DRM from Spotify Music (3 Steps)

Now click on red "Record" button on Streaming Audio Recorder Program. Then, go to Spotify and play back the music that you would like to capture.

1. If you don't want to wait for the songs to be recorded one by one, you can set a scheduled task to record Spotify music at a specific time. So you can go away while the program is still recording Spotify music for you.

2. If you are a Spotify Free user, there may be some ads. To filter ads while recording, you can go to settings > Recording settings > Advanced Options and choose "Do not save the recording if it’s less than X second(s)". You can set the time that the ads will be last.

Step 3. Convert Spotify to MP3

When the Spotify audio streaming is recorded, you can find them in the "Library" of the program. This program can automatically identify the songs' ID3 tags. If not, you can also edit the tags by yourself.

Then, choose all the music you want to convert to MP3 and right click to select "Convert". You can now convert Spotify music to your preferred file format like MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, etc. Of course, the DRM restriction has been removed after recording.

After removing DRM from Spotify, you can move the songs to any device you like and you can listen to Spotify music offline now.
