People who once purchased music from iTunes Store would meet a big problem. Whatever you do, you cannot copy and play them on your new Samsung Galaxy 7, Huawei Mate 9, Sony, LG, Moto, etc. You are probably facing the same trouble as following:

"I am so frustrated with this. I want to play my 10 or so albums I bought from itunes on my Android phone. But because they are M4P, iTunes won't allow me to move copies to my Android phone nor allow me to convert them to another format, mp3 for example."

If you want to transfer protected M4P songs (including songs bought from iTunes Store and Apple Music songs) to Android phones or any other non-Apple devices, just keep reading this post. We will find the solution for you to play M4P on Android.

Why You Cannot Play M4P Songs from iTunes on Android Phone?

The M4P file format is an extension of the MPEG-4 Part 14 or MP4 format of media storage. Primarily associated with the Protected AAC file produced by Apple Inc. the M4P file uses Apple's "FairPlay" system DRM. This restricts copying the data and requires authorization of a system via the Apple iTunes software. These M4P files can only work with iTunes, an iPod, iPhone, or Apple TV.

Aside from the songs you purchased from iTunes Store, Apple Music songs also have a .m4p extension, which means that Apple Music songs are also DRM encrypted.

Any Solution Available to Play M4P on Android?

If your audio files are in M4P or a protected AAC format, there are two main solutions that can help you bypass the DRM and play M4P files or protected AAC files on non-Apple devices, like Android phones, MP3 players and PS4. They are:

1. Burn audio CDs of your iTunes purchased songs and re-rip them.
