How to Listen to Apple Music on Roku Media Player

Roku is one of the most popular digital media players in US which allows you to enjoy the latest and hottest music, TV shows and movies from hundreds of free media channels and network such as Netflix, YouTube, Hulu Plus, Spotify, etc. However, the Apple Music songs or movies purchased from iTunes cannot be played in Roku media player because they are DRM protected.


List of Roku supported format:

  • Video — MKV (H.264), MP4 (H.264), MOV (H.264), WMV (VC-1, firmware 3.1 only)

  • Music — AAC, MP3, WMA, FLAC (firmware 5.3 and later), WAV (firmware 5.3 and later)

  • Photo — JPG, PNG, GIF (non-animated)
