For me, the most attractive feature is the greatly enlarged 5.8 inch display of the Galaxy S8 and the huge 6.2-inch display of the Galaxy S8 Edge which offers a great and competitive way to play videos and movies on phone, instead of TV or computer. Speaking of movies and videos, you would probably a big fan of iTunes movies. But can you play iTunes movies or videos on Samsung Galaxy S8/S8 Edge? The answer is no.

iTunes Movies Won't Play on Samsung Galaxy S8/S8 Edge, Why?

Reason 1. iTunes Movie Format Is Not Supported

The M4V file format, developed by Apple, is used to store movies, TV series and music videos in the iTunes Store. It is only supported by a certain type of Apple products, like iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPad 2, iPad mini, iPod touch 5/6, Apple TV, etc. It cannot be played on Android mobile devices, not even on the latest Samsung Galaxy S8/S8 Edge.

Reason 2. Digital Right Management (DRM) Protection

The M4V files rented or purchased from the iTunes Store are copy-right protected. You are not able to play them on non-Apple authorized devices like Android phone, MP4 player, PSP, etc. And you are not allowed to convert, copy or edit the M4V videos under the DRM protection. You will need to remove DRM protection from iTunes movies and convert them to Galaxy S8/S8 Edge supported video format before playing them on your new Galaxy S8/S8 Edge.

How to Play iTunes Movies on Samsung Galaxy S8/S8 Edge?

There is a software called iTunes M4V Converter for Mac that can remove DRM protection from iTunes movies, TV shows, music videos, etc. Besides, it can convert the M4V videos to MP4, which is fully supported by the Galaxy S8.
